How does a Framed Shade Structure get approved over an existing playground?
Weathersafe managed the project from first concept through to handover, covering design, engineering, approvals, manufacture and construction of a fully compliant Framed Shade Structure. The 18m x 15m frame sits on 4m uprights, with six columns positioned to clear the existing play equipment below rather than disrupt it. Monotec 370 is a compliant shade fabric built for exactly this kind of application, offering strong UV protection to keep the play area comfortable on hot days. Glacier was selected as the colour for this structure, giving the school a shade cover that suits the playground area. What makes the steelwork built to last?
Every column and structural component was hot dip galvanised before being powder coated in Primrose, a process that protects the steel from corrosion long after installation.
