Clayton Bay Reserve

To enhance sun protection over play spaces, Alexandrina Council engaged Weathersafe through a competitive tender to design and construct new shade sails at Clayton Bay Reserve Playground.

The project scope included full design development, securing development approval, and delivering a shade structure that meets strict engineering and safety standards. Using Monotec 370 commercial-grade shade cloth in Lime Fizz and Bundena, combined with hot-dip galvanised and powder-coated steel columns in Excel Charcoal Gloss, the sails offer vibrant, long-lasting UV protection.

Weathersafe managed all aspects of delivery, including DBYD services search, temporary fencing, and full engineering documentation. The result is a safe, compliant, and visually striking shade solution for the Clayton Bay community to enjoy year-round.
