Whyalla Playground

Weathersafe is proud to have contributed to the renewal of the Mitchell Quinn Playground at McGee St Reserve in Whyalla.

Working in close collaboration with the City of Whyalla, we designed and installed a custom six-column sail structure to provide essential sun protection over the new play equipment.

The project features hot dip galvanised steel columns and Monotec 370 architectural shade cloth in the 'Sheba' colour, delivering exceptional value and long-term performance for the council's assets.

Our turnkey service managed every project detail—from council approvals and underground service searches to engineering compliance. This refreshed space now offers a sun safe environment where local families can enjoy the new play tower, toddler train, and climbers. It is a privilege to support a project that holds such deep meaning for the Whyalla community.
